To celebrate International Picnic Day, we were joined by chef and TV host, Shahir Massoud, where he prepared three Middle-Eastern-inspired picnic dishes. Taken from his new book, Eat Habibi Eat, Shahir used these recipes to teach us about different spices and demystify Middle Eastern cuisine. Presenting the live event was TV host and Toronto-based food writer Pay Chen, who’s appeared on CBC, CTV, and the Food Network.

The hives are managed by our partners Alvéole who install and care for beehives in many urban locations in order to educate, reconnect city-dwellers with nature, raise ecological awareness, and help build more sustainable cities.
